Analytics Director

Marsh Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytics Director to join our team as part of Marsh Advisory Pacific. As an Analytics Director, you will play a key role in designing and implementing changes to develop analytical solutions for captives, applying your expertise in actuarial reserving and IFRS 17.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of analytical models and solutions to assess the balance between risk retention and risk transfer, minimizing cost of risk.
- Identify new and existing business opportunities for small to large-scale clients and present to stakeholders at the C-suite executive and Board level.
- Coach and lead team members on delivery of analytical projects and deliverables.
- Manage projects and deliver on client engagements, including actuarial reserving, capital modeling, loss modeling, limit validation reviews, risk finance optimization, captive and financial feasibility, and technical pricing and strategic review of insurance programs.
- Minimum 7 years of general insurance experience in an actuarial leadership position.
- Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent qualification from other actuarial bodies.
- Minimum 5 years of statutory reserving and Appointed Actuary experience, with long-tail reserving and/or Workers Compensation experience highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 in terms of implementation and application.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team mindset and collaborative approach to work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Leadership experience within a fast-paced working environment highly regarded.
