Procurement Specialist Role

About the position:

We are seeking a skilled procurement specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain function, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining procurement dashboards and reports, as well as interpreting data and trends to support decision-making.

  • Analyse inventory levels and supply trends to support inventory optimisation, preventing shortages and reducing slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Coordinate reviews of slow-moving and obsolete stock by working with the category manager to identify actions to reduce.
  • Provide root cause analysis of stock outs and work with the relevant buyer to review and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate, clean, consistent vendor, item, and inventory replenishment records.
  • Analyse supplier price changes to evaluate the financial impact on the business and ensure supplier pricing remains accurate and up to date within the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Identify potential products that could be sourced from overseas suppliers, taking into account stock turns, minimum order quantities, and containerization.
