About the RoleJohn Holland's Infrastructure division is currently constructing some of Australia's most complex projects. Due to industry expansion, the John Holland Infrastructure business is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for an upcoming $450m Water Infrastructure project in regional NSW.
The role includes:
- Tracking, monitoring, and controlling costs during the project life cycle
- Interpreting specifications and standards and assessing their impact on project costs
- Using Planning-Budgeting-Forecasting cost control models to increase profitability by identifying variances between cost elements
- Analyzing actual costs against planned costs and forecasting final costs versus budget
- Creating tender event schedules for procurement programs
- Budget/Tender reconciliation, change management, and variance analysis
- Quantification and costing of construction work
- Quantity Take-off and preparing Bills of Quantities
- Preparing estimates, quantities, prices, and costing for projects
- Interfacing with Project managers and Engineers to best manage risks and opportunities
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
- Tertiary or Trade Qualification in Quantity Surveying
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience on infrastructure projects within the construction industry
