About the role:

Our Infrastructure division is currently constructing some of Australia's most complex projects, including the Black Hill to Tomago M1, Gold Coast Light Rail, and Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre. We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor for an upcoming $450m Water Infrastructure project in regional NSW.

Key responsibilities:

  • Tracking and controlling costs during the project life cycle
  • Interpreting specifications and standards and assessing their impact on project costs
  • Using cost control models to increase profitability by identifying variances between planned and actual costs
  • Analyzing actual costs against planned costs and forecasting final costs versus budget
  • Creating tender event schedules for procurement programs
  • Budget and tender reconciliation, change management, and variance analysis
  • Quantifying and costing construction work
  • Preparing Bills of Quantities and estimates
  • Interface with project managers and engineers to manage risks and opportunities

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Tertiary or trade qualification in quantity surveying
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience on infrastructure projects within the construction industry
