About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Ausenco. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing office or onsite activities to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, to budget, and in accordance with our objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project plans and ensure that appropriately skilled staff are available at the required times to complete tasks.
- Lead a team of engineers and technical support personnel in completing the assigned scope.
- Manage the work in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
- Effectively manage scope changes and trends, actively identifying quantity, cost, and time trends, and managing the change process.
- Maintain a professional and functional relationship with client personnel.
- Unwavering dedication to safety and proven ability to achieve deadlines.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An engineering degree from a recognized tertiary institute or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in mining and minerals studies and/or projects.
- EPCM/EPC experience, including supervision of contractors and field personnel, will be looked upon favorably.
- Previous experience in process plants and mining projects in operations or construction is essential.
- Substantial exposure to project scheduling, planning, cost control, estimating, and reporting.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a Zero harm environment.
