
Psychosocial Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic professional to join our team in supporting individuals with psychosocial disabilities to achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life.
The role involves developing a recovery-enabling relationship with participants, empowering them to take control of their lives. Your work will include coaching participants to increase their recovery skills, strengthening their personal capacity to coordinate their supports, and building their emotional resilience.
You will work collaboratively with participants to identify their strengths, interests, and preferences, and support them in achieving their goals through recovery planning and linking them to mainstream or community services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting biopsychosocial assessments and developing individualized support plans
- Linking participants to mainstream or community services, including housing, education, transport, and health
- Monitoring participant NDIS budgets and funding, and supporting them with preparing for plan reviews
- Researching local providers for activities of participants' choice
- Providing one-on-one support to participants at their place of residence, and facilitating administrative tasks from home
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate IV in Mental Health or a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology/related field (includes currently studying) and/or 1 year's experience in the mental health sector or related field
- Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week
- Minimum probationary driver's license and fully comprehensive car insurance (business cover)
- Evidence of COVID booster vaccination or valid medical exemption
