Job Description
This role involves overseeing the planning and coordination of Defence sector construction, refurbishment and remediation projects in the Newcastle and Hunter regions.
You will work collaboratively with the Project Manager, collating project information and performing various tasks including:
- Planning and coordinating works, equipment and personnel
- Compiling and creating QA/QC documentation
- Coordinating direct labour workforce, suppliers and sub-contractors
- Programming and scheduling works
- Preparing RFI's and Quantity take-offs
- Ensuring compliance with HSECQ requirements
- Pricing variations
- Managing computer systems to ensure compliance
With immediate and future refurbishment and civil works in the pipeline, this is an ongoing career role offering support and encouragement to advancement towards a Project Manager role in the future.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Post grad experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Civil Engineering or similar discipline
- The ability to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
- An understanding of the bigger picture and ability to self-manage own workload while working well in a team
- Proven problem-solving ability and can 'think outside the box'
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
