Environmental Resources Management is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Remediation Manager to join our team in Newcastle, Australia.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a challenging role in contaminated site management. As an Environmental Remediation Manager, you will be responsible for supervising fieldwork programs, including subcontractors and ERM personnel on site. Your expertise in environmental assessments and remediation works will involve the collection of field data (soil, soil gas/vapour, groundwater).

You will also prepare or provide inputs into complex technical reports in accordance with relevant guidelines and legislation. Additionally, you will assist with the preparation of client proposals and support project managers through planning and delivering field programs and/or budget/task management.

About You
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in contaminated site management consulting, preferably in NSW;
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering, soil science, or other related science subject degree);
  • Strong leadership and co-ordination skills, including mentoring junior colleagues;
  • Proven report writing skills, including engagement in the Certified Environmental Practitioner Scheme or professional industry bodies;
  • Competency in preliminary and detailed site investigation and sampling techniques involving data collection (soil, water, soil vapour, etc.);
  • Project management experience, including proposal and project budget development, client and external stakeholder engagement;
  • A valid full driver's license issued by an Australian state or territory;
  • Authorised to work full-time in Australia.
