Service Department Leader

The Service Director role at our organization is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the service department.

This includes developing and enforcing effective processes to achieve customer satisfaction, creating annual goals and budget in alignment with organizational objectives, submitting warranty claims within required timeframe, scheduling jobs based on employee skills, reviewing work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to billing, maintaining departmental tools and equipment, and managing recruiting and employee development activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enforce effective service processes.
  • Create annual goals and budget aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Submit warranty claims within required timeframe.
  • Schedule and assign jobs to employees based on their skills and knowledge.
  • Review work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing.
  • Maintain departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order.
  • Manage recruiting, staffing, and employee development activities.
Requirements:
  • Sound mechanical knowledge.
  • Operations and management experience beneficial.
  • People leadership experience beneficial.
  • High motivation to provide clean, safe, and efficient service department.
