Emergency Medicine Professional

We are seeking a Medical Officer to join our Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with attending medical staff.

About the Role:

The Medical Officer is directly responsible for day-to-day patient management and administrative duties under the direction of Consultant Staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical Management: Patient Assessment, Patient Management, Clinical Skills

Key Responsibilities, Activities and Duties:

  • Clinical Management:
    • Patient Assessment: elicit patient history, symptoms and signs; recognise cultural differences; generate ranked problems and provisional diagnosis
    • Patient Management: use evidence-based practice; develop, implement and evaluate a plan of management
    • Clinical Skills: demonstrate competency in basic life support techniques
