Role Overview

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations in Australia, with experience in HR/People & Culture. They will be responsible for providing practical advice on ER/IR matters, including performance management and investigations.

About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of our company's People & Culture function. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will work closely with our leaders and employees across Australia, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be the primary point of contact for Employee Relations queries in Australia.
  • Provide expert advice on ER/IR matters, including performance management and investigations.
  • Support managers with interpreting and applying employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with policy and contract updates to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Support Employee Relations activities across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Provide general HR support to the NZ team, particularly for ER-related issues.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid experience in HR/People & Culture, with a strong focus on ER/IR in Australia.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Australia.
  • Confidence managing ER issues such as investigations and disputes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and provide clear, practical advice.
