
Healthcare Operations Coordinator

Job Summary
Your role will involve overseeing the daily operations of an Allied Health department, ensuring effective scheduling, administration, billing and debt management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction and supervision to team members working in the Allied Health Department.
- Manage the onboarding process for new staff members.
- In collaboration with the Allied Health Manager, manage the department's schedule to maximise activity and meet community needs.
- Coordinate outpatient appointments in accordance with health fund guidelines.
- Manage the billing process for outpatients and private practice services.
- Ensure all patients have the necessary financial consent prior to attendance.
- Audit the informed financial consent process annually.
- Manage debt collection in collaboration with accounts receivable shared services.
- Maintain the integrity of information and correct errors as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in patient administration roles, preferably in a coordinator or team leader capacity within a healthcare environment.
- Ability to manage resources effectively, meet deadlines and prioritise workload accordingly.
