About the Role

The Allied Health Administration Team Leader is responsible for the daily operation of the Allied Health department. This includes scheduling, administration, and billing functions. The role reports to the Corporate Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and supervision to administration caregivers working in the Allied Health Department.
  • Manage the orientation of new administration caregivers to the department.
  • In collaboration with the Allied Health Manager, manage the scheduling of the department to maximize activity, focusing on community need and the organization's mission and values.
  • Coordinate outpatient appointments in line with health fund billing rules and guidelines.
  • Manage outpatient and private practice billing matrices to facilitate accurate and timely billing of outpatients.
  • Evaluate informed financial consent processes annually.
  • Collaborate with accounts receivable shared services teams to manage debt collection.
Requirements:
  • Experience in patient administration roles in a coordinator/team leader capacity, preferably within a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to manage resources effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload accordingly.
