Senior State Leadership Position
This senior role is responsible for overseeing a network of branches across Tasmania, with a focus on driving sales and margin growth while promoting customer centricity.
As a key member of the State Leadership Team, you will have autonomy to shape culture, performance, and outcomes. You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, ensuring all staff are aligned to the organisation's goals through clear communication and resource allocation.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Full P&L accountability for the region, including driving Sales, margin, and EBIT growth
- Developing and implementing an annual business plan for the region
- Ensuring all staff are aligned to the goals of the organisation and the region through clear and constant communication and resource allocation
- Promoting customer centricity across the region
- Working with Branch Managers on the development and delivery of their Budgets and Business Plans
- Maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of the branch network
- Ensuring consistency in Branches e.g. ranging and inventory levels
- Controlling stock loss and stock shrinkage and achieving obsolete/inactive stock budgets
- Ensuring all branches in region are compliant with the Work Health and Safety Policy and Management System
- Maintaining customer relationships to expand market share and increase customer loyalty
- Engaging across functions to embed improvement initiatives
- Supporting and coaching a team of Branch Managers
- Being a visible, approachable and engaging leader
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a similar role, with a strong customer service focus
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving who can implement change effectively
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
- Wholesaling, trades or building/construction industry experience
- The ability to prioritise workload and achieve results through people
