About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workplace Relations professional to join our high-performing HR team at Leidos. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering solutions to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement workplace relations strategies, frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and stakeholders on workplace relations matters, including employment law, industrial relations, and collective bargaining.
  • Design and deliver workplace relations training programs for HR and workforce, focusing on complaint handling, mediation, and investigation skills.
  • Build and maintain relationships with unions, unionized workgroups, and multiple enterprise agreements, ensuring effective communication and negotiation.
  • Monitor and report on employment and industrial relations changes or developments in relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, making informed recommendations to Leidos and/or Enterprise Agreements.
  • Lead and support the delivery and maintenance of Enterprise Bargaining agreements, ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
Requirements
  • Deep specialist knowledge in employee and industrial relations, with a capability to apply this knowledge with a pragmatic, collaborative, and commercial focus.
  • Extensive understanding of the Fair Work Australia requirements and industrial instruments, including industrial relations design and bargaining experience with multi-sector unions.
  • Deep knowledge of current Australian workplace relations.
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptually, with a focus on proactive operational solutions and relationship development.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present to executive teams and key stakeholders.
