Pathology Laboratory Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pathology Laboratory Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced laboratory environment and have strong communication skills.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing pathology specimens, logging and entering samples into the system, ensuring all sample details are accurate, and performing various clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing of pathology specimens in the laboratory
  • Logging and entering samples into the system
  • Ensuring all sample details are accurate
  • Clerical duties and strong IT competency
  • Excellent typing speed essential
  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • High-level communication skills with colleagues and patients
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Commitment to Work Health and Safety protocols

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent, be eligible to work in Australia, hold a current Police Check, and possess clear communication skills with a positive and professional attitude.
