Medical Laboratory Scientist Job Opportunity

Contribute to impactful medical research and deliver operational laboratory activities as a scientific officer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate scientific and technical training, ensure quality management, and maintain compliance with standards.
  • Deliver operational laboratory services and oversee Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, Quality Control Systems, and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Hold a Bachelor's or higher degree in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent with relevant pathology subjects.
  • Have experience in pathology services, strong interpersonal and communication skills, report writing, and data analysis abilities.
  • Be able to manage priorities efficiently and work independently and in teams.
  • Possess problem-solving, analytical skills, and understanding of legislation related to laboratory operations.
  • Experience reviewing QC/QAP and troubleshooting assays is advantageous.

This position requires compliance with NSW Health policies on occupational assessment, screening, vaccination, and COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
