Job Title: Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to work in a cutting-edge facility with a large public Anatomical Pathology laboratory. This role will involve delivering operational laboratory activities, coordinating scientific and technical training, and reviewing laboratory practices to ensure compliance with standards.

The successful candidate will have exposure to a diverse range of specialty pathology, including bone and soft tissue sarcomas, pelvic exenteration, complex head and neck resections, liver and kidney transplants, and diagnostic molecular pathology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality laboratory services
  • Coordinating scientific and technical training programs
  • Reviewing laboratory practices to ensure quality and safety standards

This role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills, as well as the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to work autonomously and contribute to diagnostic skills.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor Degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
  2. Knowledge and experience in pathology services, Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, Quality Control Systems, and computer programs like Microsoft Office
  3. Customer-focused with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  4. Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  5. Team player with the ability to work autonomously
