Job Title

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Research Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the field of natural hazard resilience and disaster risk reduction.

  • This role will involve working with stakeholders and communities to develop research projects that promote resilience and reduce disaster risk.
  • The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, including experience in partnership or stakeholder engagement/management roles.
  • They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as highly developed interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and managing research projects that address natural hazards and disaster risk reduction.
  • Working with stakeholders and communities to identify research needs and develop solutions.
  • Providing project management support to the Research Program Delivery Lead.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A university degree, preferably in an area relevant to natural hazards science and/or emergency management.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience in partnership or stakeholder engagement/management roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Able to thrive in a remote working environment.
