Natural Hazards Research Leader

Natural hazards research is crucial for saving lives and protecting property. As a Node Research Manager, you will work with stakeholders and the community to conduct research that meets end-user needs.
The role involves collaborating with a national team to ensure the research program's success from initiation to implementation.
Key responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, partnership development, project management, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Collaborate with the research team to plan and deliver projects efficiently.
- Manage contracts and partnerships to achieve project goals.
- University degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Strong project management skills, including planning and organisation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and remotely with a dispersed team.
Selection Criteria:
- Experience in partnership or stakeholder engagement/management roles.
- Knowledge of government departments and agencies.
- Knowledge of universities or research organisations.
- Ability to work in disaster and emergency management contexts.
