About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our national team in addressing the major challenges arising from natural hazards. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement research programs that meet the needs of end-users, ensuring the effective translation of knowledge into actionable solutions.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, including emergency service agencies and communities, to inform research priorities and enhance collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address key issues related to natural hazard resilience and disaster risk reduction.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality research outcomes.
Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A university degree in a relevant field, such as natural hazards science or emergency management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong skills in project management, including the ability to plan and coordinate work effectively.
  • Proven experience in partnership or stakeholder engagement/management roles, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Sound conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop appropriate solutions.
