Safety and Wellbeing Lead

The newly created role of Safety and Wellbeing Lead at Flavorite plays a vital part in shaping and driving the organisation's health, safety, and employee wellbeing agenda.
This role reports directly to the Chief HR Officer and is responsible for both strategic and operational leadership in promoting a culture of safety, health, and wellbeing across multiple sites.
As a business partner and subject matter expert, this role involves developing and implementing safety and health strategies and programs, ensuring a streamlined approach to compliance with all relevant Australian legislation, and driving initiatives that foster and contribute to a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team, fostering collaboration and a high-performance environment.
- Strategic Planning
- Align Safety, Health, and Wellbeing strategies with business goals and contribute to continuous improvement across all sites.
- Wellbeing & Mental Health Programs
- Implement initiatives to promote mental and physical wellbeing, partnering with leaders to embed best practices.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Develop proactive tools to manage risks, lead audits, and ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
- Incident & Injury Management
- Manage WorkCover claims, return-to-work programs, and coordinate with external providers to support injured team members.
- Data & Reporting
- Provide insights through data analysis, ensuring informed decisions and continuous improvement in Safety, Health, and Wellbeing performance.

About YouWe're looking for an individual with great energy and passion for all things People, Safety, and Wellbeing.
A recognised degree qualification in Work Health and Safety or Occupational Health and Safety is essential, with qualifications in mental health, wellbeing, or psychosocial safety highly valued.
Extensive experience in safety, health, and wellbeing in fast-paced, multi-site environments is highly valued, as is demonstrated experience delivering safety leadership and managing workplace risks.
Proven ability to contribute to a positive safety culture and present complex information effectively is also essential.
