Chief Financial Officer Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial strategy, cross-border operations, and system-wide transformation.


This role offers a hands-on executive experience with regional reach, overseeing finance systems, controls, and reporting structures to enable real-time decision-making.


The ideal candidate will have experience in the aviation sector, particularly in helicopters, charter services, or maintenance-heavy environments.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Overhauling finance systems, controls, and reporting structures to enable real-time decision-making
  • Integrating operational and financial platforms for seamless reporting
  • Managing aviation-specific cost models, including maintenance, fleet strategy, and contractor allocations
  • Steering cross-border financial frameworks across PNG and the Pacific
  • Providing commercial oversight on tenders, contracts, and high-value bids with risk-adjusted modelling
  • Preparing board-level reporting, forecasting, and long-term capital strategies
  • Building local leadership capacity within the finance team while embedding accountability and financial discipline

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Aviation sector experience, ideally in helicopters, charter services, or maintenance-heavy environments
  • Strong background in regional finance across PNG, Australia, and the Pacific
  • Proven experience scaling a business from $30M to $100M+ in revenue
  • Systems integration capability, particularly across operations, finance, and supply chain
  • Ability to lead with cultural intelligence and coach diverse teams with empathy and structure
  • Demonstrated success in nationalising senior finance roles and building internal succession pipelines
