Compliance Manager Job Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and laws within the Group Support Units. As a Compliance Manager, you will oversee the implementation and maintenance of compliance processes and procedures across various departments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and improve compliance processes and procedures.
  • Understand the regulatory environment and perform assessments on proposed, new, and amended laws, regulations, and industry codes.
  • Identify legal and regulatory compliance obligations for support functions and review the adequacy of controls and level of compliance.
  • Evaluate, assess, and advise on compliance issues and incidents.
  • Support reporting on compliance exposures for support units.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and performing compliance monitoring to agreed schedules.
  • Contribute to ensuring the Compliance Risk Management Framework is implemented and operating effectively.
  • Develop and provide compliance training to Line 1 risk on key compliance processes and obligations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Compliance/Legal/Privacy knowledge and experience within the financial services sector.
  • Solid understanding of Compliance risk management frameworks, tools, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance monitoring/assurance activities.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
