Transport Operations Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Transport Operations Leader to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for leading the state transport management of our 3PL partners across the program.

You will play a critical part in ensuring our partners deliver exceptional service to our stores. This includes managing relationships with carriers to achieve best-in-class safety, service, and cost performance aligned with KPI targets across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage carrier relationships to ensure optimal safety, service, and cost outcomes.
  • Oversee daily operations of services and tracking to deliver timely results by analyzing key performance indicators to identify areas for operational improvement.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency while collaborating with internal teams to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives with carriers and within the business on a regular basis.
  • Manage profit and loss, including forecasting and review processes, to optimize transportation costs associated with carrier services through regular cost analysis.

Your excellent communication skills will enable you to work collaboratively with stakeholders both internally and externally to influence and negotiate positive outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a transport operations function with carrier management.
  • Excellent understanding of Chain of Responsibility, safety regulations, transport legislation, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing key carrier relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively communicate ideas to others.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Valid Driver's License as travel across the network is required.
