About the Role

The Maintenance Officer plays a crucial role in collaborating with the Operations Manager(s) to ensure the upkeep of our centres, providing a safe and welcoming environment for retailers, customers, and the public while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Officer will address various tasks as assigned through centre requests or the Vicinity maintenance system, ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with Vicinity policies and relevant legislation.

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on both internal and external structures, including car parks, signage, roadways, and gates.
  • Oversee the maintenance and servicing of retailer facilities within the centre, such as staff restrooms and loading docks.
  • Ensure the upkeep and presentation of centre malls and public amenities.
  • Maintain internal and external lighting throughout the centre.
  • Assist with the minor capital expenditure program for the centre.

For larger projects, the Maintenance Officer will coordinate with qualified contractors to perform necessary maintenance and repairs.
