Job Summary

City Building Engineering Services (CBES) is seeking a highly skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our team. As a Fire and Security Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Intruder, and Access Maintenance, working within the Security and Fire team while operating in compliance with company policy and procedure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Representing the Company
    • Represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Delivery of CCTV, Intruder, Access and Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting Maintenance works on site in compliance with the agreed Service Level Agreement and within agreed timescales.
    • Liaison with the Service Team at all times striving to ensure that all works are delivered on time.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, CBES HSE management systems, procedures or instructions as they apply and to ensure that all colleagues and sub-contractors follow safe systems of work on site.
  • Stand-by Rota and Corrective Calls
    • Working on a stand-by rota. Attending corrective calls efficiently.
  • Issue Resolution and Vehicle Maintenance
    • Identification and resolution of repair, maintenance and installation issues that may occur during service delivery.
    • Ensuring company vehicle is kept clean, well maintained and serviced as required.
  • Compliance and Competence
    • Comply with any other reasonable management instruction.

  • Delivery and Quality
    • Delivery of works in compliance with the clients specification and within agreed timescales.
    • Quality of work – Achieving completion of monthly planned maintenance works.
  • Health and Safety and Competence
    • Achieve and maintain 100% H & S and job related competence.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Maintenance of company vehicle.
