As a Field Service Technician with Cummins, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by ensuring the efficient and prompt repair of engines and related components at customer sites.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
  • Documentation: Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

 


Essential Skills and Knowledge:



  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of Cummins and industry standards on working with engines and related components.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, ensuring clear understanding of needs and requirements.
  • Time Management: Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals and deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, responding to changing customer needs and priorities.

 


Qualifications and Experience:



  • Education: Apprentice-trained engine technician or vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
  • Experience: Minimal level of workshop-related experience required, with basic knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
