Northern Territory Operations Manager

Griffin Marine Services is a leading provider of marine services, specializing in multi-disciplinary industrial services and project management. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead and oversee all aspects of operations and performance in the Northern Territory.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Oversee and manage all operational activities within the Northern Territory, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Team Management: Lead a diverse team of trades and administration personnel, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to maximize their potential.
- Business Development: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize business performance, achieve operational targets, and meet customer expectations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to enhance collaboration and drive business growth.
- Operational Efficiency: Monitor and analyze operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, identify innovative approaches, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Financial Management: Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints, controlling costs while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and technological advancements to capitalize on new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- A relevant trade or engineering qualification.
- Proven experience in marine maintenance, with exposure to the Defence sector being highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex operational challenges.
- Sound financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and deliver results within defined parameters.
- A proactive and results-driven mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and exceeding targets.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards pertaining to marine operations.
