Job Title: Wellbeing And Injury Management Team Lead

The role of the Wellbeing and Injury Management Team Lead is to provide leadership and strategic direction in the development and implementation of injury prevention, claims management, and injury management processes that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Wellbeing and Injury Management Team Advisors and Coordinator, ensuring the development of their skills and high levels of customer focus in support of stores and support centre.
  • Assist in developing and implementing simple, relevant, and effective injury and claims management policies, procedures, and strategies that minimize operational impact, reduce costs, and continually improve health and safety results.
  • Work collaboratively with the Injury Management & Wellbeing Manager to develop and contribute to the annual Safety Strategy with key health and wellbeing objectives, targets, and timeframes for implementation.
  • Provide practical training and coaching to leaders in support of improved knowledge and awareness of health and wellbeing for their team and the greater business.
  • Assist in developing and implementing any health and wellbeing initiatives or strategies to ensure the business has best practices in place.
  • Contribute to the coordination and compilation of safety reporting and presentations, including board reports, quarterly strategy tracking, and retail leadership meetings in collaboration with the Wellbeing & Injury Manager and Group GM Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
  • Effectively facilitate the timely and sustainable return to work of injured team members, ensuring lost time, claim durations, and claim costs are minimized.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with external stakeholders, such as Insurers and OR Providers, to ensure claims management strategies are implemented, the timely delivery of exceptional customer service, and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Manage and deliver ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Allied Health field, such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Psychology.
  • Relevant professional association membership and/or registration.
  • At least 3 years of rehabilitation experience (clinical and non-clinical) and 2 years in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation nationally, with demonstrated cost and claim reductions through the implementation of injury prevention programs.
