Operational Excellence Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Operational Excellence Specialist to join our team.

As a key member of our operational excellence team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our processes.

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize process performance.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot various equipment and systems, including compressors, control systems, instrument electrical systems, and process control valves.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and implement new processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure resource availability and facilitate builds.
  • Establish and maintain a robust inventory management system, including procurement of critical spares.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • An associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technology, combined with 4+ years of experience working with automated processes.
  • A high school diploma or equivalency certificate, combined with 6+ years of experience in areas such as control room operations, plant operations, mechanic/millwright support, instrumentation/electrical operations.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic understanding of process parameters and engineering units for temperature, pressure, flow, and power.
  • Familiarity with mechanical equipment and systems requiring isolation of malfunction, disassembly of industrial machinery, and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, structural components.
  • Familiarity with lock out tag out, job hazard analysis, hot work permitting.
  • Familiarity with 120V, 480V, and 4160V electrical switchgear and components.
