Job Description

The role of a Claims Adjuster involves visiting customers to gather information necessary for the claim process, promoting the company's value proposition, and distinguishing it from competitors.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Representing the company as a Chubb representative whilst visiting customers
  2. Gathering essential information required for the claim process
  3. Assisting with general claims handling as needed
  4. Managing all claims from inception to completion unless requested otherwise by Team Leads or the Property Claims Manager
  5. FOLLOWING industry best practice guidelines and claim handling instructions
  6. Developing strong relationships with brokers and service providers
  7. Clearly identifying potential fraud and subrogation issues

You will also be responsible for engaging with strategic stakeholders, effectively managing and controlling your workload, identifying and reporting internally on significant claims, and conducting investigations and documenting developments in the claims documentation system.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Relevant industry certifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in loss adjusting property claims
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • An excellent customer service ethic
