Insurance Claims Officer Role

The primary function of this position is to deliver exceptional customer service and efficiently manage insurance claims. As the key point of contact, you will be responsible for receiving and processing claims in compliance with relevant regulations and business rules.

You will interact with potentially vulnerable individuals, demonstrating empathy and compassion in every interaction. Your professionalism and attention to detail are essential in delivering high-quality customer service on inbound and outbound calls.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lodgment and triaging of claims
  • Taking ownership of Death/Terminal Illness (DTI), Total and Permanent Disability (TPD), Income Protection (IP), and Permanent Incapacity (PI) claims
  • Providing information regarding account details without providing financial advice
  • Managing family law enquiries, and processing family law splits and financial hardship applications

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Claim Officer
  • Superannuation or industry experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Process-oriented with great attention to detail
