**Job Title:** Field Service Engineer
**Job Summary:** As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the technical face of our company. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing laboratory instruments.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site instrument setup, IQ/OQ, operator training, and hand-over documentation.
- Plan and perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, implement repairs, verify performance to factory specs.
- Provide phone/email triage, user refresher training, escalate complex issues, coordinate loan instruments & spare parts.
- Maintain accurate service cases in CRM; manage boot stock and local inventory.
- Feedback recurring issues to product specialists and supplier TAC teams. Contribute to service knowledge base; mentor junior engineer/techs.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
A degree, diploma, or trade certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Biomedical, Analytical Chemistry, or similar field is required.
3-5 years' experience in field service or depot repair on laboratory/analytical instruments or medical devices is also necessary.
**Required Skills:**
Customer-centric communication – ability to translate technical findings into clear actions for scientists and procurement teams.
Time and priority management – juggle installations, break-fix calls, and admin without compromising quality.
Analytical thinking – systematic problem-solving, root-cause analysis, data-driven decisions.
Team ethos – collaborate with sales, applications, and logistics. Positive mindset and constructive team member.

- Frequent driving; occasional work outside core hours to minimize laboratory downtime
**Travel Commitment:** Approximate domestic travel commitment: 30%
