Job Overview

The Research Development Manager – ARC and Industry Grants is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and submission of high-quality proposals for major national research funding schemes.

  • Develop pipeline strategies to strengthen ARC and industry-aligned grant success.
  • Manage a grants team to deliver timely submissions.
  • Collaborate with business development to secure industry and commercial research funding.

This role focuses on supporting competitive grants with the Australian Research Council (ARC) as well as industry-focused initiatives.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience in grant development and management.
  • Proven success in supporting major competitive funding applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian research funding programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline of proposals from concept through to submission and establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can build institutional capability, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensure alignment with La Trobe's strategic research priorities.
