About the Role

Pyramid Global Technologies is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cloud development and operations teams, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fault-tolerant architecture, configuring Azure resources, and ensuring seamless deployment of products to various environments.

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in cloud administration, system engineering, and scripting languages like PowerShell. Your experience in setting up and managing Azure backup services, building network and subnet on Azure, security/firewalls configuration, and alert setup will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, leveraging infrastructure as code practices at every layer
  • Provision VMs and storage according to specifications, configure network, VNets, and related security configurations in both on-prem and Azure environments
  • Leverage Availability Sets and Zones to design fault-tolerant architecture, implement different cloud storage services, and tune them for better performance and availability
  • Configure Azure Backup service for incremental and full backups with defined retention policies, implement Disaster Recovery solutions using Azure Site Recovery, and document DR run books
  • Manage build, source repository, and deployment systems end-to-end, contribute to product development life cycle, and ensure infrastructure needs are met for seamless product releases
  • Mentor junior engineers, work with cross-functional teams, and facilitate design of our infrastructure, perform advanced troubleshooting, and monitor customer systems on Cloud (Azure)
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell, Cmdlets, and Batch scripts for Azure environment management
  • Experience in setting up and managing Azure backup services for DR systems, building network and subnet on Azure, security/firewalls configuration, and alert setup
  • Exposure to Git, TFS, Jenkins, and DevOps tools, Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft, and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as IT Administrator in Windows Platform environment managing Windows Server, SQL Server, Networking, Security, and related systems, and 2+ years of combined professional experience in Cloud Administration using technologies such as Azure VM, Azure SQL Database, Redis Cache, Load Balancer, Azure Web Apps, docker, Kubernetes, Micro Services, Relational DB Server Setup/Management in Azure (SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Document DB, Mongo DB, CouchDB/Dynamo)
