Job Title: Community Support Advocate

We are building a service that provides support to neurodivergent and LGBTQIASB+ individuals, with the goal of making them feel seen and supported.

About the Role:
  • This is a casual, flexible role that allows you to work one-on-one with people who need our support.
  • You will help individuals build skills, try new things, and feel more confident in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing social and community activities support
  • Assisting with independent living tasks
  • Reinforcing therapy activities
  • Supporting skill-building goals
  • Encouraging and celebrating individuals as they work towards their objectives
  • Collaborating with therapists and communicating about challenges or successes
About You:
  • Experience of neurodivergence and/or being part of the LGBTQIASB+ community
  • Insight into the communities we serve and the barriers they face
  • A thoughtful and respectful communication style
  • A driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle (most travel is local)
  • Previous experience in disability support, community work, or a related field (not required)
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
