Community Support Advocate

We are building a service that provides support to neurodivergent and LGBTQIASB+ individuals, with the goal of making them feel seen and supported.
About the Role:- This is a casual, flexible role that allows you to work one-on-one with people who need our support.
- You will help individuals build skills, try new things, and feel more confident in their daily lives.
- Providing social and community activities support
- Assisting with independent living tasks
- Reinforcing therapy activities
- Supporting skill-building goals
- Encouraging and celebrating individuals as they work towards their objectives
- Collaborating with therapists and communicating about challenges or successes
- Experience of neurodivergence and/or being part of the LGBTQIASB+ community
- Insight into the communities we serve and the barriers they face
- A thoughtful and respectful communication style
- A driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle (most travel is local)
- Previous experience in disability support, community work, or a related field (not required)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Flexible hours that accommodate your lifestyle and energy levels
