Supporting People with Disabilities

We are seeking skilled Support Workers to deliver quality services on a casual basis. These roles are responsible for providing support for people with disabilities in their supported homes, to enable access to a quality life with dignity and social inclusion.

The successful candidate will demonstrate previous experience working with behaviours of concern and possess a strong understanding of mental health challenges. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster including weekends and sleep overs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to clients with complex needs, to assist with daily living (including personal care)
  • Support People with Disability to access and participate in the community
  • Adhere to individual plans, and working towards each client's goals
  • Advocate for People with Disability to improve client outcomes and achieve desired goals by engaging with clients and their families

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting People with Disability, behaviours of concern/or mental health
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) and relevant mental health experience
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
  • Full unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Ability to adhere to client support plans and complete documentation
