About the role:

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical reliability and maintenance of our cement plant equipment.

  • Participate in safety, health, and environment (SHE) initiatives, including communication sessions, tool box talks, and risk assessments.
  • Analyze plant performance using lead and lag indicators, assess the plant's health status, and provide feedback through daily reports.
  • Be accountable for responding to day-to-day plant requirements and following up on shift handover feedback.
  • Develop and manage quality technical scope of work, provide clear directives during breakdowns, and manage breakdowns from start to end.
  • Provide detailed reports of plant breakdowns or issues and recommend next steps for repair or rectification.
  • Be responsible for reviewing work orders and providing clear direction to planners on what work orders need to be executed.
  • Manage and update mechanical asset life plans, update task lists, and provide engineering support to capital projects.
  • Identify and manage plant mechanical risks to ensure achievement of reliability and availability targets.
  • Be accountable for developing and managing processes required to identify end-of-life assets.
  • Develop and review mechanical maintenance methods, inspection, and test plans.
  • Maintain effective report and investigation storage methods, and assess/utilize condition monitoring principles.

About you:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of asset management experience in cement manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
  • 5+ years of maintenance management experience in cement manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
  • Sound mechanical background, proven experience in responding to breakdowns, understanding of leadership, and decision-making.
  • Sound people and communication skills, effective report writing and presentation techniques, familiarity with MS Office, and proficiency with SAP.
  • Ability to perform plant trouble shooting.
