About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our high-performing Maintenance teams at Boyne Smelters Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical assets across the smelter, focusing on unplanned breakdowns, troubleshooting, and problem-solving equipment failures to improve reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain mechanical assets across the smelter, focusing on unplanned breakdowns, troubleshooting, and problem-solving equipment failures to improve reliability.
  • Identify defects and provide feedback on asset performance and health.
  • Conduct confined space and working at heights activities.
  • Work autonomously, being reliable and positively contributing to the maintenance team, understanding the requirement to maintain assets in a safe and reliable condition.
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives, working with various disciplines within the organisation.
  • Promote and identify HSE opportunities to improve equipment, processes, and behaviours.

Requirements

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
  • Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset.
  • A valid C Class driver's license.
  • A Mechanical Engineering or Fitter & Turner trade qualification.
  • Proven history of fault finding and repairs on various fixed plant equipment.
  • Proven maintenance experience working in heavy/industrial industry.
