Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our LNG Maintenance Team at UGL. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for performing planned and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our LNG plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned and breakdown maintenance activities on plant equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure
- Identify and report any safety hazards or incidents
- Collaborate with the operations team to prepare and isolate plant processes
- Verify and obtain the correct materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance tasks
- Perform lubrication oil changes, sampling, and greasing services
- Conduct blinding and flange management activities
- Perform LNG loading connect and disconnect activities
- Remove and replace pressure safety valves
- Perform static equipment works such as filter element or strainer change out or cleaning
- Perform PM and maintenance of pumps, compressors, blowers, fin fan belts, fan cowlings, and drive shaft bearings
- Support core and critical OEM equipment under direction of OEM contractor
- Perform shaft and coupling alignment, levelling, and vibration analysis
- Minor fabrication and repair of parts equipment
- Involved in shutdown activities as planned
- Fill out time records as required
Requirements
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter/Turner
- Hold a valid blue/white construction induction card
- High Risk Work Licence – EWP, LF, Dogging/Rigging
- Confined Space certification
- Work at Heights certification
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand plans, diagrams, drawings, and specifications
- High levels of attention to detail
- Excellent Communication skills
- Great time management skills
- The ability to work within a team and unsupervised
