
Career Development Specialist

Our organization seeks a dedicated and results-driven Career Advocate to work with participants, exploring their career aspirations, building confidence, and supporting them into meaningful employment. This role involves collaborating with employers to open doors and provide staffing solutions that meet business needs.
This position requires a strong understanding of the barriers faced by people with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and create career opportunities, matching clients to suitable and sustainable roles.
- Champion inclusive employment and workforce diversity, focusing on people with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions.
- Engage and work alongside employers to address skill shortages through role carving and inclusive recruitment.
- Broker work experience to build participant skills and assess employer/client compatibility.
- Prepare workplaces to support and retain participants via adjustments and disability confidence training.
- Facilitate employer training to boost disability awareness and inclusion.
- Build employer and community networks to create job opportunities.
- Promote our organization as a trusted provider supporting people with disabilities to achieve career goals.
- Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
- Champion our organization's values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.
Qualifications in Employment or Human Services are desirable.
Proven ability to meet KPIs and manage workload effectively.
Strong understanding of employment barriers faced by people with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions.
Skilled in providing tailored support and developing client-focused employment plans.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
A current driver's license is essential.
