Role Overview

\

The Defence Member and Family Support Branch offers a range of programs and services to support Australian Defence Force members and their families.

\

The Family Liaison Officer will play an integral part in the Western Australian team, providing information and advice on services and supports available through Defence.

\Key Responsibilities:\
  • \
  • Engage with Defence families, key stakeholders, and the wider community to facilitate opportunities for connection.\
  • Provide information and advice on local community resources and services.\
  • Participate in Command and Unit facilitated events and functions for families.\
  • Build knowledge of community services and engage with service providers to inform them of Defence family needs.\
  • Work as part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team.\
  • Organise events and information stands at various venues in the local community and on Base.\

  • Standing for long periods.\
  • Lifting 0-15kg.\
  • After hours and weekend work may be required.\
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks is essential.\
