Network Access Manager Role

This is a key commercial and regulatory position focused on managing the end-to-end coordination of new electricity network connections within Western Australia. In this role, you will lead planning, assessment, and execution of new electricity network connection requests to ensure alignment with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes.


Responsibilities:
  • Plan, assess, and execute new electricity network connection requests to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes to maintain high-quality service delivery.
  • Provide commercial oversight of network access and pricing to ensure cost recovery and economic viability.
  • Coordinate technical due diligence in collaboration with engineering teams to validate project feasibility.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders, ensuring transparent and effective engagement to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Represent the business in regulatory negotiations and connection-related commercial discussions to secure mutually beneficial outcomes.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require a strong understanding of power networks, regulation, and connection processes in Western Australia. You should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.


Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Law, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in network access or commercial operations in the power or renewables sector.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working with ISO/regulatory bodies in a grid or transmission environment.
  • Sound commercial judgement and ability to manage technically complex stakeholder engagement.
