Senior Financial Accountant/Finance Manager Role

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and oversight in the management of all financial aspects of the business.

This involves assuming responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, consolidated balance sheet, cash flow and commentary.
  • Overseeing the lodgement of all statutory reporting and compliance matters, managing taxation requirements, BAS, Payroll, Tax and Income Tax Returns.
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules, coordinating and supporting quarterly and annual audits.
  • Supporting internal payroll, accounts payable and receivable, ensuring the right controls and policies are in place and being followed.
  • Improving efficiencies across the finance function, ad hoc financial modelling, financial analysis and reporting as required by the business.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior financial role, preferably within an established business.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
