**Our Mission**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Homelessness Support Worker to join our dedicated team. This dynamic role provides trauma-informed and therapeutic support to people experiencing homelessness, helping them achieve stability and sustain their accommodation.

**The Role**

Our Homelessness Support Worker will be responsible for:

  • Managing cases of individuals who are accommodated to ensure their housing remains stable.
  • Conducting home visits with clients located in temporary, transitional or permanent accommodation.
  • Providing client support with a respectful, non-judgemental, and inclusive attitude and manner whilst maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Developing case plans with clients, providing ongoing support to achieve and monitor the case plan.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, both electronic and handwritten.

**Key Requirements**

  • Minimum TAFE Certificate IV or currently undertaking tertiary study in a related field.
  • Previous experience providing support to marginalised and vulnerable people, particularly homeless persons.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience of issues relating to homelessness, family breakdown, mental illness, drug/alcohol, gambling addictions.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and sound computer skills.
