Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by conducting routine equipment maintenance and repairs.

Your primary focus will be on adhering to safety regulations and policies, performing preventative maintenance tasks to a high standard, and providing optimal equipment availability through continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have formal trade qualifications, such as Cert III In Electrotechnology or Cert III Mechanical Engineering, and experience in planned preventative maintenance systems.

You should also be able to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings and have experience with conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.

In this full-time night shift role, you will work alongside senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.

As an RME Technician, you will respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible.

You will also make suggestions for long-term improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Adhere to safety regulations and policies
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to a high standard
  • Provide optimal equipment availability through continuous improvement
  • Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements
  • Work efficiently to fix issues and provide high levels of equipment availability

Requirements:

  • Formal trade qualifications: Cert III In Electrotechnology/Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner)
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings
  • Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Experience with sortation machines
  • Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
