Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments of offenders, analyze results and record information accurately.
  • Maintain expertise in offender rehabilitation research, legislation and practices related to offender management.
  • Participate in professional development activities and team meetings.
  • Provide consultancy services to colleagues within the multi-disciplinary unit.
  • Develop and deliver assessment, counseling and welfare services to meet individual needs.
  • Contribute to case planning and management activities, including preparation of reports and case notes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for relevant authorities.
  • Provide advice on classification and planning review processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and currency of data for the Integrated Offender Management system (IOMS).
  • Take responsibility for your own safety and the security of others and QCS property and information.
  • Provide timely information to relevant stakeholders regarding assessment outcomes.
  • Liaise with external service providers to enhance community integration and safety.
  • Offer guidance on reintegration and parole processes.
  • Counsel offenders about the consequences of their behavior.
  • Keep individuals informed about available services and community expectations.
  • Stay knowledgeable about services supporting offenders.
