Database Expert Job

This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology across SQL Server environments, supporting both our Sydney and global initiatives.

As a database expert, you'll be responsible for performance optimisation and high availability solutions, directly impacting trading platforms that serve retail investors, institutions, and B2B clients globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage SQL Server environments across Sydney and London operations
  • Implement Always-On High Availability solutions and disaster recovery strategies
  • Collaborate with development teams to provision masked, production-like datasets
  • Automate recurring tasks and develop tools for operational efficiency
  • Support migration and modernisation projects aligned with our global data strategy
  • Provide Level 2 database support and incident resolution following ITIL methodologies
Requirements:
  • Experience as a SQL Server DBA with at least 5 years of hands-on experience
  • Strong technical skills combined with excellent communication abilities
  • Proven automation experience, strong knowledge of evolutionary database designs and DevOps processes
  • Hands-on experience with Always-On High Availability solutions, database backup, recovery, and performance tuning expertise
  • Security implementation including TDE encryption, proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with git-based source control systems, knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI
