ESG Consultant Role Overview

As an Environmental Sustainability and Governance (ESG) consultant, your primary objective will be to assist in developing a consolidated asset strategy that identifies valuable investment and innovation opportunities.

This involves providing strategic oversight and feedback on ESG asset data submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant industry best practices and standards. You will also develop and provide continual improvement on sustainability/ESG reporting metrics and internal targets.

Additionally, you will support and coordinate sustainability data assurance and reporting processes, develop presentations for leadership and stakeholders, and participate in stakeholder sessions.

Furthermore, you will assist climate change risk assessments supporting enterprise risk governance and support innovation, ESG strategy, and the development of asset transition plans.

You will evaluate and interpret data for high-level reporting and scope opportunities for commencing Scope 3 emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate and report ESG inventory data.
  • Provide oversight and feedback on monthly ESG asset data submissions.
  • Ensure compliance of reported data with industry best practices and standards.
  • Develop and improve sustainability/ESG reporting metrics and internal targets.
  • Support and coordinate sustainability data assurance and reporting processes.
  • Develop presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Participate in stakeholder sessions.
  • Assist climate change risk assessments.
  • Support innovation and ESG strategy.
  • Evaluate and interpret data for high-level reporting.
  • Scope opportunities for commencing Scope 3 emissions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Environmental Engineering or Science or minimum 4 years of Sustainability/ESG industry experience.
  • 3-5 years of GHG reporting skills.
  • Excellent understanding of sustainability policies and environmental regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including advanced writing skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills for constructive conversations with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working with professionals from multiple business/disciplinary areas.
